84% percent of every dollar goes directly to programming costs. No more than 16% of each dollar supports administration and fundraising. Our accounting practices are established so as to track the use of designated gifts that require special funding reports, and funds are used as required by the donor.
Our Vice President of People, Finance and Operations, who oversees Finance and Accounting functions, meets at least quarterly with the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors to review the budget and financial controls. Our finances are audited by an external accounting firm on an annual basis.
The Night Ministry does not sell, barter or exchange donors' information. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 773-784-9000. The Night Ministry is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that meets all 20 Better Business Bureau Standards. Donations are tax deductible as allowed and outlined by the Internal Revenue Code.
