Gifts of Stock

If you wish to make a donation of stock, please request that the stock be electronically transferred to The Night Ministry. The donor’s broker should note the following to make the transfer:

A transfer of stock may take up to three business days before it is received in our account and before we can consider the gift to have been received. Individuals donating stocks to The Night Ministry (or their broker) should contact us at 773-506-6023 to inform us that a donation has been made, as the name of the donor is not automatically transferred to us along with the stock. The value of your gift of stock will be the closing price on the date of transfer to The Night Ministry. Donors are encouraged to discuss this option with their tax advisor.

Donation through Your IRA

Did you know that you can make a charitable contribution through your Roth or traditional IRA? Commemorative Pavers

A Courtyard Paver can be a memorable gift for the person in your life that holds a special place in their heart for Chicago's most vulnerable youth. An engraved paver honoring a relative, friend, or colleague will be placed in the courtyard of The Night Ministry's Open Door Youth Shelter in West Town.

Commemorative pavers come in two sizes — 7” x 4.5” ($150) or 9.5” x 7” ($500) — and can be engraved with the inscription of your choice.

To help you notify the recipient, we will send you a photograph of the courtyard where the paver will be placed, along with a special card noting that you have made a gift in their honor.
